Hamlet

She is a young girl,
so lost in her own world.
She's fallen for the one,
who plays girls hearts for fun.
Though this much she can't see,
in rejection she can't believe.

She only wants him,
but his mind is elsewhere.
He prefers to make it seem
like he doesn't care.

Chorus:
Hamlet, why must you be so cruel?
Letting this girl believe you're really worth it all.
She is a girl in love,
she can't show you enough,
you rise her up, then let her fall.

She begins once again,
although she's always in pain.
Others may love her,
but she can't feel the same.
Then he must return,
he mocks when her heart burns,
she can't take another day,
she wishes it all away.
The tragic story ends,
with neither making amends.
Her brother had her warned,
only after she was torn.

(Spoken. A quote from the play)
Fear it Ophelia, my dear sister,
and keep you in the rear of your affection
out of the shot and danger of desire.

Chorus:

Hamlet, why must you be so cruel?
Letting this girl believe you're really worth it all.
She is a girl in love,
she can't show you enough,
you rise her up, then let her fall.
